Danny Murphy has picked out Harry Winks and Dele Alli on talkSPORT as the real positives after Tottenham Hotspur drew with Liverpool in an incredible game on Sunday.
Spurs handed their top four hopes a further boost with a superb showing against the title-contenders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The result maintains Antonio Conte’s unbeaten start in the Premier League following his appointment.

It was an important day for a number of Spurs players. Harry Kane ended his recent drought. Tanguy Ndombele silenced some of his doubters with a sumptuous pass for the opening goal.
But it was also a significant occasion for Dele and Winks. Dele was making his first league start under Conte, while Winks has hardly seen much more game-time since the Italian came in.
Both proved to be bright. Jamie Redknapp lauded Winks for the challenge at the start of the move that led to Kane putting Tottenham in front. Meanwhile, Conte suggested that Dele did well.

And Murphy has hinted that it could prove to be a turning point for both players at Tottenham.
“I tell you what was really positive about Tottenham yesterday for me, and I’ve always been a fan of Harry Winks, I thought his positivity in his passing, his fitness levels, his energy, he looked like he was trying to prove a point. I was really pleased for him,” he told talkSPORT.
“And I thought Dele Alli stood up and was counted. He’s had a lot of criticism. Yeah, it’s about time. It’s taken too long. The fact is when you get put in the team, you get given an opportunity, you’ve got to try and grasp it quickly.”
Tottenham could receive massive boost if Conte can unlock full potential of Dele Alli and Harry Winks
Of course, there looks to be a long way for both players to go. Dele certainly has had false dawns in the past under the likes of Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espírito Santo.
But Tottenham fans know how good both Dele and Winks can be. So it could be huge for the club if Conte is able to unlock their full potential in the months ahead – particularly with a battle for a top four spot looking set to be on the cards.
