Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos is reminiscent of former club captain Cesc Fabregas.
That’s the view of Danny Murphy, who made the observation on Match of the Day after the Gunners had beaten Burnley 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Ceballos assisted both of Arsenal’s goals and left the action to a standing ovation when being substituted off.
The star, on a season-long loan from Real Madrid, wowed with his impressive footwork in central midfield and his general willingness to receive the ball.
It was a very positive performance from the 23-year-old, and it left former Tottenham Hotspur player Murphy very impressed.
He said, as quoted by The Daily Star: “Clever little passes, every single move they had actually came through him. He looks a real Arsenal-type player if you like.

“He can see a pass a bit like Fabregas, can sit in there and dictate play as well if need be. I like the variation in his game. He could be a really big player for them this season.”
TBR’s view
If Ceballos performs to peak Fabregas levels then Arsenal have a real chance of sealing a place in the top four.
Ceballos appears to be more mobile than the former crowd favourite and is arguably a better carrier of the ball, with Fabregas more of a passer.
He certainly has that same silky style, and his form really could help the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to flourish.
