Danny Murphy has told the Daily Mail that Ben White could be a pivotal signing for Arsenal, insisting that he has all the tools to be a brilliant player.
White was at the centre of one of the biggest deals of the summer so far. As confirmed by Sky Sports, the Gunners paid £50 million to sign the 23-year-old.

For some, a move will seem a gamble. White is heading into only his second year as a Premier League player.
And he is still a young man. It certainly appears that a section of the Arsenal fanbase are not convinced that he is worth the money.
However, Murphy has insisted that White has more than enough ability to prove his doubters wrong during his time at the Emirates.

“He has all the tools to be a brilliant player for Arsenal, and England,” he told the Daily Mail.
“I wouldn’t have been surprised if Champions League clubs would have come in for him but Manchester United were working on Raphael Varane, Liverpool signed Ibrahima Konate and so Arsenal were able to take full advantage. He’s the type of player they’ve been after for a long time.
“He’ll be the main man in the centre of Mikel Arteta’s defence and could be a pivotal signing.”
Arsenal signing Ben White could still be some way off reaching his ceiling
White is untested at the sharp end of the Premier League. However, his track record suggests that he is up to the challenge.
He has enjoyed a remarkable rise through the divisions. Brighton loaned him out to clubs in League Two, League One and the Championship.
It was that spell at Leeds that seemed to prompt the Seagulls to use him last season. And he went on to be their Player of the Season.
He also earned a place in the England squad at Euro 2020. So there is a very good chance that he remains some way from reaching his ceiling.
