Southampton striker Danny Ings is in line for an England call-up in the next international break in March, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The report says that Harry Kane’s injury has given Ings the ideal opportunity to step into the breach as Gareth Southgate considers some changes to his squad ahead of Euro 2020.
Ings and Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish are two of the most on-form English players in the Premier League now, and they’re set to be called up in March.
Callum Wilson has been England’s backup striker for a number of previous squads but his form has tailed off badly while Ings keeps going from strength to strength.

TBR’s View – Ings should be in ahead of Wilson on current form
Even if Kane is fit in time for the Euros, there should still be one reserve striker spot in Southgate’s squad for the summer.
It looks like a straight fight between Wilson, the man in possession, and Ings, who is the man on red-hot form and deserves the shirt on current form.
Ings has two games to prove himself before the Euros and if he keeps up his Southampton form, getting on the scoresheet, he should be in the 23 for the summer.
