Danny Higginbotham has told Sky Sports (broadcast on 29/2; 14:20) that Mateusz Klich was magnificent in Leeds United’s emphatic victory over Hull City as he named the midfielder the man of the match.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side put themselves eight points clear of the chasing pack in the Championship. They were 1-0 up after the first-half. But they really turned it on after the break and ultimately won 4-0.

Some of the football Leeds played was remarkable. And Klich was at the heart of their success, providing two stunning assists for Tyler Roberts during the latter stages.
And in a game which saw several Leeds players stake a claim, Higginbotham suggested that Klich was the standout for the visitors at the KCOM Stadium.

“I think he’s been outstanding,” he told Sky Sports. “I think the role that he plays in the team is so important. He’s got an extra responsibility now in the centre of midfield, but he still has the ability to get forward, get back.
“He really has taken the game to Hull and there’s a reason that he’s started every Championship game under Bielsa. He’s been magnificent.”
TBR View – Klich had several rivals for man of the match
It is difficult to argue with Klich winning man of the match. But there were several contenders. Both Jack Harrison and Helder Costa were brilliant out on the wings. Pablo Hernandez looked to be back to his best.
And of course, Roberts did incredibly well after he came off the bench. He took both of his goals superbly, including an amazing diving header to put the icing on the cake.
But Klich inspired the side to a huge win. And after providing the winner in midweek, it looks fair to say that Leeds are currently seeing the very best of the 29-year-old.
