Daniel Sturridge has taken to Twitter to heap enormous praise on Son Heung-min, after the Tottenham star netted the winner against Watford.

Son, 29, scored his second Premier League goal of the season as Spurs inched past Watford. His free-kick was a cross, but flew into the net.

It was enough to secure a third win for Tottenham in three league games. So far so good for Nuno Espirito Santo, winning 1-0 in all of those matches.

Harry Kane has stayed at Spurs despite intense talk about his future, while Son has signed a new deal. Fabio Paratici is bringing in new players.

Spurs sit top of the table. Optimism and confidence is coursing through the club’s veins – and Sturridge has heaped praise on Son on Monday morning.

Sturridge on Tottenham star Son: Is he world class?

The South Korea captain is 16 appearances away from reaching 300 in all competition for Tottenham. He has scored 109 goals, and laid on 64 assists.

A huge 173 goal involvements in 284 games is incredible. For a team that, yes, did reach the Champions League final – but have struggled recently.

To continue his goals and creativity in a side that are outside of the top six in the last couple of seasons is incredible. 22 goals, 17 assists last term.

So, while Son does not have any big trophies to his name, neither does he play for a Champions League club – he is world class, as Sturridge says.
