Spurs face Manchester City in the Premier League today and Daniel Levy is preparing to come face to face with those wanting to sign Harry Kane this summer.
Kane’s future has been the subject of talk all summer. The England striker apparently wants out of Tottenham, and has his heart set on a move to Manchester City.

But, so far anyway, City haven’t been able to tempt Spurs into a sale and Daniel Levy hasn’t even entertained negotiations. And according to The Telegraph, he is prepared to tell his City counterparts the blunt truth when they come face to face today.
Standing firm
The Telegraph claim that Levy will ‘hold firm’ in his stance when he meets officials from City today. He is prepared to tell them that Kane is not for sale, although he still expects a fresh bid this week.
So far, Levy has refused to be drawn into discussions over Kane unless a bid of around £150m comes along. So far, City have not gone to that figure, with £120m plus add-ons the most widely reported maximum.
Levy, then, seems increasingly likely to keep his man as he continues to dig his heels over Kane’s future.
Fair play to Levy
It takes a brave club and man to take on Daniel Levy and it looks like he might win out against the might of City after all.
Strangely, this seems like it’s become about power more than anything now, rather than just Kane’s ability and value. Levy is sticking firmly to his guns, and wants either full value, or no sale at all.
And you can’t blame him. With just two weeks of the window remaining, Spurs would be hard pushed to find a replacement for Kane.
With face to face greetings coming today, it would be superb to be a fly on the wall as Levy holds his ground against the City big-wigs.
