Dani Alves sends message to Martinelli on Instagram after Brazil debut

Dani Alves has sent a message to Gabriel Martinelli on Instagram, claiming that he is delighted to have the Arsenal starlet playing alongside him with the Brazil national team.

It was another successful international break for Tite’s men. They secured two 4-0 victories to cement their spot at the top of their qualifying group in South America ahead of the Qatar World Cup.

The break also saw Martinelli tick off another landmark in his career. The 20-year-old appeared in both of their wins, winning his first two caps for Selecao in the process.

Martinelli has certainly deserved his opportunity. He has been absolutely outstanding for Arsenal. And he probably does not get enough credit for the way he has fought back from spending so much time on the sidelines due to injury.

He has turned himself into a key player in Mikel Arteta’s plans once again. And he will now be hoping to ensure that he goes to the World Cup later this year.

Certainly, Alves is delighted to have the youngster in the ranks. The 38-year-old himself is looking to be on course to be a part of Tite’s squad at the end of the year.

And he has now sent a message to Martinelli on Instagram as he posted a photo of the pair working together in training.

The post translates as: ‘Let’s go my Phenomeno! Too happy to have you by my side!

Arsenal set to benefit as Martinelli has taste of chance with Brazil

Arsenal will certainly benefit now that Martinelli has been involved with Brazil. He will be even more desperate to ensure that he makes the World Cup squad.

And that can only be a good thing for the Gunners as they continue to make progress.
