Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has just made a quite hilarious faux pas when discussing Dejan Kulusevski in a recent interview.

Van de Ven has of course now returned to first team duties at Tottenham following his lengthy and very untimely hamstring issue.

The defender was a huge boost for the visit to Old Trafford on Sunday, especially considering he was alongside Cristian Romero.

However, Dejan Kulusevki did miss the game through illness, allowing Timo Werner to make his full debut.

And whilst the latter performed fairly well, Kulusevski was still missed.

That being said, Micky van de Ven has now participated in the Premier League’s ‘Higher or Lower’ challenge guessing Fantasy Premier League prices.

And whilst van de Ven did well on the whole, he stumbled on a question involving Tottenham teammate Kulusevski.

The defender was asked who he thought cost more on the game, Kulusevski or Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.

Van de Ven chose Silva, and immediately regretted his choice.

He said: “No, I think Bernando Silva is more expensive.”

Van de Ven jovially replied: “No! Cut, cut, cut this one.”

I’m sure the duo will have plenty of time to joke about the answer during their break before Spurs’ next match.

Ange Postecoglou has reportedly decided not to take his Tottenham squad away for a warm weather training camp this month, preferring to give his players a break whilst in London.

Spurs will return for an incredibly important fixture on the 26th against Manchester City in the FA Cup.

And given how much progress Tottenham have made under Postecoglou, with both van de Ven and Kulusevski excelling, City may be a little concerned.

Van de Ven will of course now have a chance to face Bernardo Silva in the match, having missed this season’s trip to the Etihad through his injury.

And it will certainly be interesting to see if Tottenham have managed to recruit one of Pep Guardiola’s players before the end of the month.

With senior figures at Spurs now really pushing for a particular midfield signing.
