Curtis Jones and Luis Garcia react as Harvey Elliott pens new Liverpool contract

Liverpool have announced on Friday afternoon that Harvey Elliott has signed a new contract at Anfield. The Reds have confirmed a new long-term deal that extends his current stay at Liverpool – which was previously until June 2023. Luis Garcia and Curtis Jones have reacted on Instagram to Elliott signing a new Liverpool deal.

Elliott, 18, has been in stunning form over the past 12 months for Championship side Blackburn Rovers. The winger had a hand in 18 goals during 41 second-tier appearances for Tony Mowbray’s side. He has now returned to Anfield, where he had less than two years left on his deal.

The winger, who has been called up by England’s Under-19 side of late, has now been handed a new contract. While it is unknown how long his new deal will last, it is well-deserved after a successful 2020-21 campaign. He posted on Instagram twice following the new deal.

What have Garcia and Jones said to Liverpool star Elliott?

Elliott has a big decision to make this summer. His permanent future is obviously going to be at Liverpool. But does he stick it out at Liverpool this season and hope for upto 20 matches – or does he go on loan? Join a Premier League side, or a top-tier club, and continue his development further?

A move to a Premier League side would really benefit Elliott this summer. Clearly, he has shown he is more than ready for a top-tier move after shining in the Championship. Both Jones and Garcia reacted to his posts on Instagram after penning the new deal, congratulating Elliott.
