Report: Crystal Palace now want to sign £25m Leeds target who 'has everything'

Crystal Palace are the latest club to show interest in signing Wolves midfielder, Morgan Gibbs-White, according to a report from The Sun.

Gibbs-White is in demand this summer after a stunning season with Sheffield United saw him come within two games of leading the Blades back to the Premier League. Gibbs-White hit double figures in both goals and assists and was lauded by Kevin Gage as a player who ‘has everything’ in his game.

However, United’s hopes of signing Gibbs-White ended with missing out on promotion and with first-team football not guaranteed with Wolves, the England youngster could be on the move. Both Nottingham Forest and Leeds are thought to be keen on him, but The Sun has claimed it is now Palace who have expressed an interest.

It’s believed Wolves will demand at least £25m should they decide to cash in on Gibbs-White. However, Brugno Lage could still decide to keep him as well, after admitting he did indeed try to bring him back to Molineux in January.

Palace, meanwhile, are building nicely under Patrick Vieira. The former Arsenal midfielder has an energetic and exciting young team and Gibbs-White could well be tempted by that proposition.

TBR’s View: Gibbs-White Would Fit In Well At Palace

You only have to look at how well the likes of Ebere Eze and Michael Olise have done at Palace to see how Gibbs-White might fit into things at Selhurst Park.

He is a class act and at Sheffield United last term, showed everyone what he is all about with some simply stunning displays of attacking football. He is a player who brings goal, assists, and tricks to the table to get fans off their feet.

Should Palace manage to add Gibbs-White to their already exciting attacking line up, then they could be a real threat next season.
