Crystal Palace offered 18-trophy winner who allegedly snubbed Arsenal last year - report

Crystal Palace have reportedly been offered Layvin Kurzawa, a player who apparently snubbed Arsenal last year.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Eagles boss Patrick Vieira has “validated” the PSG left-back as a potentially good signing.

Kurzawa was heavily linked with Arsenal last year, but he seemingly snubbed the Gunners by penning a new contract at PSG.

The France international’s contract was set to expire at the end of the 2019-20 season, but he extended it to 2024.

However, the 28-year-old only made 27 appearances in all competitions last term amid injury and suspension.

Kurzawa was also an unused substitute in 12 competitive matches throughout all of last season.

Seemingly out of favour at PSG, it looks as though he could look for a move away before transfer deadline day.

However, a deal would also depend on the club’s hierarchy.

Kurzawa may have had injury issues last season but he’s a talented player who boasts a multitude of trophies.

He has four Ligue 1 titles, five French Cups, four French League Cups and five French Supercups to his name.

A talented full-back, Kurzawa boasts good stamina and great footwork, is a good passer of the ball, and likes to get forward.

He’d certainly be a decent shout for Palace, though obviously this would depend on cost and wages.

Transfermarkt reckons Kurzawa has a value of £10.8million.

That said, this may not necessarily reflect how much PSG would actually want for him.

But given Kurzawa appears surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes, he may not be overly expensive.
