Arsenal have been linked with a potential swoop for Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha – but some Palace fans on Twitter have responded by claiming it should take a massive transfer fee to prize him away from Selhurst Park.
90min reports that the Gunners want to try sign the 28-year-old forward after previous interest in him.
The report explains that Mikel Arteta’s side may need to sell players first to raise transfer funds, but Palace could be open to selling him for the right fee in an attempt to revamp their squad.
It’s unclear on how much Premier League and London club Palace would want for Zaha, but he’s the most influential player in their squad.
He’s a versatile attacker that can play centrally or out wide, and has spent years in England tormenting defences with his skill.
The speed machine has nine league goals so far this season in 22 appearances. In contrast, Arsenal’s top scorers in the league this season are Alexandre Lacazette (11) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (nine).
A selection of Palace supporters on social media believe they should be holding out for a big transfer sum.
His transfer saga appears to roll around every single window regarding whether or not he’ll leave, and his current deal is due to expire in 2023.
Here are some Palace fans discussing the Arsenal links to Zaha:
