Crystal Palace fans react to performance of James Tomkins against Arsenal
Crystal Palace claimed a point at the Emirates Stadium last night as they played out a goalless draw with Arsenal.
Roy Hodgson’s team were well worth their share of the spoils and perhaps has the best chance to win it.
James Tomkins came the closest to scoring for the Eagles, heading against the bar with Bernd Leno stranded.
He might have fluffed his lines with his header but it was the central defender who won praise from supporters on Twitter afterwards.
The former West Ham United man has only played four games this season but it seems his return has proved timely.

Palace haven’t lost since he returned to the starting line-up against Leicester last month.
Hodgson’s men have drawn with Leicester and Arsenal and claimed an important win over Sheffield United.
Fans believe that a large amount of credit for a mini-revival should be planted on the doorstep of Tomkins.
The 31-year-old earns £50,000-a-week at Selhurst Park and has proved a decent servant to the club.
He has played 111 games for the club and on last night’s showing, Tomkins remains a key player.
After playing his part in a second successive clean sheet, here is what Palace fans were saying about the experienced enforcer.
Don’t think there will be any chance of us selling James Tomkins to WBA immense performance 😁🔴🔵

The difference in having James Tomkins back is evident. We look so much more defensively sound with him back. Superb team performance. Great point.
