Crystal Palace fans react to links with Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles

A number of Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports suggesting that Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles is on the radar ahead of the summer.

It looks set to be an incredibly busy few months at Selhurst Park. According to the Daily Mail, the Eagles have 12 players out of contract at the end of the campaign.

It is suggested that some could yet stay. But they also appear to be looking at potential targets. And one of those on their wishlist is Maitland-Niles.

The Daily Mail has claimed that Palace want the 23-year-old, as well as fellow West Brom loanee Conor Gallagher.

It comes just days after a report suggested that Maitland-Niles is set to leave Arsenal this summer. The Telegraph claimed that it is accepted amongst all parties that the upcoming window would be a good time to let him go.

He had struggled to stamp his authority on a place in Mikel Arteta’s side. And his loan move to the Hawthorns has arguably not left the Gunners’ decision to let him go looking like a mistake.

Nevertheless, it appears that plenty of Palace fans would love to see him signed. Admittedly, there are some who have their doubts.

However, many believe that he would be a fantastic addition. And they are clearly hoping that Maitland-Niles and Gallagher can added to the ranks ahead of next season.
