Crystal Palace fans react as Vieira now reportedly wants Arsenal midfielder, that has heart set on another PL club
Joe Willock is said to have his heart set on a move to Newcastle United this summer. The Englishman spent the second half of last season on loan with the Toon, but Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace also reportedly want the Arsenal ace. Palace fans discussed Willock, urging their club to sign him.
Willock, 21, left Arsenal on loan in January to join Newcastle having only played 17 times for the Gunners in the first half of the season. While 17 does not sound like the end of the world for half a season, only seven of those outings came in the Premier League. He joined Newcastle on loan.
On Tyneside, he was magnificent. Scoring on his debut in a 3-2 win over Southampton, Willock ended the season with a goal in each of his last seven games. He finished his loan at Newcastle with eight goals in 14 outings – playing a crucial part in the Toon avoiding the drop.
What have Palace fans said about Arsenal star Willock?
Now, 90Min claim that Willock has his heart set on a return to Newcastle – permanently. The report says interested parties will have to spend £15million to sign Willock – and that Crystal Palace are also keen. But the likelihood is that he joins Newcastle on a permanent basis.
Palace fans have responded on Twitter to the news that Willock has emerged as an option for the London side. Many believe that while a return north is likely, the London-born ace would be a stunning addition at Selhurst Park.
