Crystal Palace fans praise Rak-Sakyi after he scores on England U20 debut

Some Crystal Palace fans were reacting after Jesurun Rak-Sakyi scored on his England debut.

The youngster turned out for the under-20s in their clash against their Romanian counterparts.

Rak-Sakyi opened the scoring for the young lions on their way to a 6-1 win. He joined the Eagles after being released by the Chelsea academy back in 2019.

Rak-Sakyi has enjoyed a great time with the south Londoners thus far. He has scored 10 times and registered eight assists in 29 games across multiple age groups.

His performances have already caught the eye of Patrick Vieira, who gave him his Premier League debut in the loss to Chelsea.

And it seems Crystal Palace are turning to youth, with Rak-Sakyi an example of the club’s ever-growing presence of youth.

Roy Hodgson overloaded the squad with a raft of overpaid, underperforming experienced players. With Tyrick Mitchell, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and now Rak-Sakyi, the Selhurst Park outfit are taking the correct path to a squad rebuild.
