Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in Huddersfield Town striker Steve Mounie – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter aren’t too pleased with the speculation.
According to TEAMtalk, Palace are one of the teams that have made an enquiry for the 24-year-old.
It is understood that the Eagles are joined by Newcastle, Bournemouth and Watford in making contact for the centre-forward, while there is also interest from France and Germany.
The report details that Huddersfield are set to sell him following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
Mounie moved to Huddersfield in the 2017 summer transfer window and had a decent first campaign in English football, where he scored nine goals in 31 games across all competitions for them.
The Benin international is a physical centre-forward that has great strength and is decent in the air.
But last season he netted just two goals in 32 games and was unable to keep Huddersfield in the top-flight.

A selection of Palace fans on social media have insisted that the club don’t try bring him to Selhurst Park.
They could do with some more attacking options for the new campaign following the expiration of Michy Batshuayi’s loan.
Roy Hodgson’s side need some more firepower, but the Huddersfield hitman may not be the one to improve them.
Here are some Palace fans commenting on Mounie:
