Crystal Palace fans divided over reported interest in Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos

Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos is reportedly attracting interest from Crystal Palace – and some Palace fans on Twitter have mixed opinions on the speculation.

According to the Scottish Sun, Palace are planning a potential £20million move for the Rangers striker in the January transfer window.

It is understood that Eagles Sporting Director Dougie Freedman watched the 23-year-old at the weekend, but Gers manager Steven Gerrard is against losing his talisman during the season.

The report also details that Premier League outfit Aston Villa hold an interest in him and want to bring him to England.

Morelos has scored 63 goals in 111 Rangers games since he moved to Scotland and is an upcoming talent that could add some real firepower to Palace’s attack.

The Colombian has looked a real force in Scotland with his composure in front of goal and relentless energy, while he’s proven himself in the Europa League too.

A selection of Palace supporters on social media are divided about whether he could be a strong addition at Selhurst Park or not.

There is clearly a shift on Roy Hodgson’s side to strengthen their attack in January, as they have the foundations of a very strong team that currently sit sixth in the league table and they just need more firepower.

The Sun has already linked Palace with potential January interest in Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud, who could be available for just £3million.
