The race for Blackburn Rovers star Bradley Dack is now hotting up. The Sun is reporting that West Ham United and Crystal Palace are both interested in the player. He is said to be valued at £20 million at Ewood Park and both clubs are believed to be interested in snapping him up.
Palace, however, will be kicking themselves. In May 2016, Palace were linked with a £2 million move for the player by the Daily Mail. At the time, he had been in fine form for Gillingham in League One. Alan Pardew, then Palace manager, was said to be a big fan and wanted to bring him to Selhurst Park.
But no deal ever happened. He remained with the Gills, but after battling relegation the next season, he joined Blackburn for just £750,000 in the summer of 2017.
He went on to score 18 goals and assist 11 in a brilliant campaign, winning the League One Player of the Year award for the second time. This season he has scored 10 goals and assisted five with some reports even suggesting an England call-up has not been ruled out by Gareth Southgate.
Because of that, his price has gone up exponentially over the past two or so years. It leaves Palace having to pay ten times what they had initially hoped to in 2016.
