‘Crying’: Tottenham fans react to what they saw Lamela do during Sevilla friendly yesterday

Tottenham Hotspur fans have admitted that seeing Erik Lamela and Mauricio Pochettino together again yesterday has left them emotional.

Lamela left Tottenham to join Sevilla this week and his new side played a friendly against Pochettino’s PSG yesterday.

Lamela did not play in the fixture, but he did meet up with the former Spurs boss before kick off.

And Tottenham supporters admit that seeing the pair together has evoked emotions from them.

Pochettino, of course, remains hugely popular at Tottenham and was heavily linked with a move back to the club this summer, before Nuno was appointed.

Lamela’s departure, meanwhile, brings to an end his eight year stay at Spurs.

The Argentine never quite managed to become the key player at Tottenham that many hoped, but his passion for the club was always admired and he created plenty of iconic moments.

Tottenham have replaced Lamela with Bryan Gil, and the hope is that the Spanish creator can have more of an impact on their starting line-up in the years ahead.
