A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been raving about the emotional embrace between Dele Alli and Son Heung-min after the 24-year-old’s sensational goal last night.
The England international has struggled for much of the season as he appeared surplus to Jose Mourinho’s requirements.
Indeed, he was reportedly eyeing a departure from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January, but Daniel Levy reportedly blocked a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Alli has impressed the manager in recent weeks, and in last night’s Europa League last-32 second leg against Wolfsberger, he was not only given a start but took his chance superbly.
Named at No. 10 behind Carlos Vinicius, the £100,000-a-week star reminded everyone of his quality with a wonderful overhead kick after just 10 minutes, controlling and improvising from Matt Doherty’s ball into the box.
You could see on Alli’s face how much the goal meant to him, and Son was also delighted, so when the former ran to the latter on the bench and embraced him, it was a really emotional moment for everyone connected with Spurs.

I’m crying. Sonny’s probably the one who supported Dele the most. Sonny said, Dele is my best friend.

Alli then provided a superb assist early in the second half, crossing for Vinicius to thump home a header, and as a cherry on top, sent a great pass for Bale to sweep home Spurs’ third on the night en route to a 4-0 win.
