‘Cry if this happens’: Some fans react as their 25-year-old is linked with Leeds
Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill is reportedly wanted by Leeds United this summer – and some Clarets fans on social media insist they can’t afford to lose him.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds have have made an approach to Burnley to enquire about the £15million-rated midfielder.
The report states that it’ll be difficult for anyone to land the Clarets ace, who is a regular under manager Sean Dyche at Turf Moor.
However, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa also likes the 25-year-old Englishman, so initial contact has been made.
Brownhill is an all-action central midfielder by trade with bundles of energy. However, he’s shown versatility to play on the wings, too.
It’s been relatively comfortable for him to establish himself in the XI at Turf Moor and he fits the Dyche mould given he works extremely hard.
For Whites manager Bielsa, he demands similar traits from his players, albeit Leeds are a lot more aggressive and forward thinking with their running.
Burnley reaction to Brownhill links should tell Leeds everything
A selection of Burnley supporters on Twitter insist they need to keep Brownhill.
There has been a lot of negativity to today’s transfer rumours from Clarets fans, which is a bit of a giveaway that Leeds are targeting a midfielder with obvious talent.
He does the defensive side of the game extremely well, but it feels like he does have a lot more to offer on the ball.
