Cristian Romero posts farewell message on Instagram as Spurs move nears

It looks like Spurs will finally be signing Cristian Romero officially in the coming hours, as the player has taken to Instagram to say his goodbyes to Atalanta.

Tottenham have been working on a deal for Romero all week and it appears that the move is all but done now. Reports all day have suggested a medical is complete, with an announcement expected this evening.

Romero, then, seems to have taken some matters into his own hands too. He’s taken to Instagram ahead of any official announcement to say his goodbyes to Atalanta, with a long and emotional post on the platform.

While Spurs have yet to officially announce the deal, news is expected soon enough in North London.

Juventus had already announced that they’d agreed the deal with Atalanta for them to buy him, while Atalanta have also agreed a deal to being in Mehri Demiral to replace Romero.

It looks like, then, that Fabio Paratici has got his man for Nuno Santo.

Work, then, will now continue for Paratici as he looks to make even more new signings before the transfer window slams shut in a few weeks’ time.
