Tottenham defender, Cristian Romero, has been discussing all things Spurs in an interview with The Athletic this weekend and had some high praise for some of his teammates.
Romero has been a standout player for Tottenham this season when fit, and this past month or so he’s really demonstrated why Fabio Paratici was so keen to sign him. Aggression, power, and a turn of pace, Romero brings all the aspects needed to be a quality Premier League defender.

Of course, Romero is not the only new face at Tottenham this year. January saw the club bring in both Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski. Both have impressed a lot, and Romero has told The Athletic that he is surprised by just how good Kulusevski has been.
“The person who’s really surprised me is Kulusevski because I think he’s really added something we didn’t have or didn’t see often. He’s a really bright and intelligent player who has become a vital cog in our system,” Romero said of Kulusevski.
In fairness, Kulusevski has been outstanding. He scored again this weekend and set one up as Tottenham romped to a big win at Aston Villa. Spurs are expected to wrap up a permanent move for the Swede this summer for around £25m.
TBR’s View: Kulusevski One Of The Best January Signings Of Recent Times
January is always hard to get a deal over the line for anyone, let alone players who can be this good. Tottenham and Paratici, then, deserve big credit for getting this done.
‘Kulu’ has been incredible at times and with Kane and Son alongside him, Spurs are now the envy of the Premier League – barring a couple of clubs – with how good their front three is.
If Spurs do land a top four spot, then Dejan Kulusevski can give himself a pat on the back for helping the club achieve such an objective.
