Liverpool slumped to yet another Premier League defeat this evening as Chelsea strolled into Anfield to take all three points.
Mason Mount’s goal was enough for the Blues, who also saw a Timo Werner effort ruled out for the narrowest of offsides in the opening 45 minutes. But while Chelsea could celebrate, once again Liverpool were a team of frustrated figures. There was little in the way to celebrate in terms of individual performances either.

However, one player who did get some credit among the Reds fans was the returning Brazilian star, Fabinho. The class midfielder once again stepped into central defence and although he was beaten by Mount for the goal, he did do well overall.
Twitter, then, was full of comments praising Fabinho’s display, despite the disappointment of the result.
Jurgen Klopp has become reliant on Fabinho at times and it seems some Liverpool fans were keen to point out his importance on Twitter following the game.
