Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Manchester United are in the race to win the Premier League title this season.

The Red Devils produced their best performance of the season against Chelsea last night. They were absolutely incredible and could’ve easily scored four or five goals. Klopp couldn’t have watched that game as his side were playing at Sheffield United. However, he still believes Manchester United are in the title race.

Jurgen Klopp says Manchester United are in the Premier League title race

Manchester United have come under immense criticism from fans, pundits and the media over the last few weeks, but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp still sees positives in them.

Erik ten Hag‘s men are constantly in the news for one reason or another. Be it poor performances on the pitch or issues off it, they always seem to be making the headlines.

To make things worse, many results have gone against United this season. They have won just 11 of their 22 games in all competitions so far, which is just not good enough.

However, Manchester United are still just three points behind Manchester City in the Premier League table, and Klopp thinks their ‘crazy’ points tally is the reason why they can’t be ruled out of the title race this season.

He said, as per Liverpool’s official website: “United is there, (they) don’t play yet maybe exactly the football whoever wants it, I’m not sure, the media or whatever, some arguments.

“But, they have points like crazy, so they are around.”

Manchester United were brilliant against Chelsea last night

There were a lot of people who expected Manchester United to struggle against Chelsea last night, but they were just incredible.

The Red Devils had 28 shots at Chelsea’s goal. They started the game incredibly well, and even though they gave a few chances away, they were by far the better side.

We don’t know if Manchester United will be in a title race this season. It’s extremely unlikely, in our opinion, but if they can play every game like they did last night, there aren’t many teams who can stop them.

It will be interesting to see how they will fare in the coming weeks after the big confidence boost last night.
