‘COYS’: Lucas Moura reacts on Instagram to exciting news about Spurs teammate

Tottenham Hotspur forward Lucas Moura has expressed his joy after Spurs teammate Harvey White penned a new contract with the Premier League leaders.

The 19-year-old, a central midfielder who can also fill in at left-back and centre-half, has enjoyed a successful rise through the academy ranks and into the first-team squad.

White has been a regular in Jose Mourinho’s training sessions since his appointment as head coach last November, and is rated highly by the Portuguese.

He has been on the bench a number of times in the Europa League so far this term and made his competitive debut in the recent 4-0 win over Ludogorets at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In addition, White has been playing regularly for Tottenham’s Under-23s in the Premier League 2, where he’s scored three goals in nine appearances so far in 2020-21.

Seen as a star of the future, Spurs announced on Friday that their gem had penned a new contract at the club until the summer of 2024.

On his Instagram page, White shared a picture of his signing of the new deal, and Lucas was certainly happy with the announcement:
