Cedric Soares is being linked with a move to AC Milan – and it’s something that could perhaps be of interest to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Southampton defender is on the Rossoneri’s shortlist of targets according to Calciomercato.
The Portugal international is out of contract in the summer, meaning there could be a good chance for him to move on for a cut-price fee next month.

He would also be in a position to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with an overseas team for a free transfer at the end his current contract.
If Milan were to successfully snap up Soares, it could potentially be good news for Spurs if they still held any interest in Davide Calabria.
The right-back was linked with Tottenham earlier this year, with Calciomercato reporting on the north Londoners’ and also Manchester United’s interest.
TBR’s view – Soares move could clear the way for Spurs
If Soares completed a move to Milan, then it would throw Calabria’s future at the club into doubt.

He started the season as a regular, but in recent weeks he has lost his place in the starting XI to Andrea Conti.
Although Serge Aurier has shown signs of improvement at Tottenham since the arrival of Jose Mourinho, there is arguably still need for the club to get extra cover in, with Kyle Walker-Peters seemingly still unfancied.
Calabria, who can also operate at left-back, is almost 100 games up for Milan and is only just about to turn 23, suggesting him as being a good acquisition for the future.
