Steve Mandanda – Marseille

The French international has been at Marseille since 2008, and has been one of the top goalkeepers in the French Ligue 1 for many years, and is also likely to be in the 23 man squad for Euro 2016. However, the Congo born player is out of contract in the summer, meaning he could plausibly be taken for a small transfer fee this summer.

At 30 years of age, Mandanda comes with bags of experience but has plenty years still left in him to do the job. And with Simon Mignolet still not totally convincing the Kop, Mandanda would likely go straight into the goalkeeping number one slot, with Mignolet acting as a perfect back up option.

The Frenchman has kept eight league clean sheets this season in what has been a difficult season for Marseille, so a change of scenery could be just what the player needs too.
