Breel Embolo – FC Basel

The Switzerland forward is one of the brightest young talents in Europe at the moment and he looks destined to breakout and force a move to a bigger league this summer. He is just 19 years old, but he is a regular scorer in the Swiss top flight with FC Basel. Embolo is capable of playing on the wing and as a central striker. He starts in a striker partnership for Switzerland, but he only managed to score once during qualification. Embolo is a strong centre forward, who uses his body to his advantage when holding up the ball. He also has the pace and technique to play on the wing, making him the complete package as a forward. He may have a lot to learn in terms of decision making, but the striker has the physical attributes to become a great player.

Breel Embolo is the perfect young player for a top Premier League team, as he has the physicality to adjust well to the English top flight. At the age of 19, he offers an option for now and for the future, in a similar manner to Anthony Martial did last summer. He would be the perfect pick up for either Tottenham or Liverpool – he has been linked with the Reds by German news outlet Bild – as both have issues up front. The Basel striker has the ability to go on and become one of the worlds best forwards, if he is given the correct coaching. This summer could be pivotal for his career.
