‘Could take them across the line’: Pundit says 24-year-old player could win the league for Arsenal

Arsenal are going to be there or thereabouts in terms of a title challenge this season.

The north London club have been utterly brilliant in the first half of this season, and it looks as though they’re not going to fall away anytime soon.

Of course, we’ve been here before. Arsenal were in this exact position last year before throwing away a lead towards the end of the season, but this time around, things may be different.

Indeed, Arsenal are more experienced and more controlled, and speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Clinton Morrison has claimed that there’s one player who will take them over the line in the shape of Declan Rice.

Rice will get Arsenal over the line

Morrison shared his verdict on Arsenal’s title chances.

“I look at Arsenal and I look at players like Saka and Odegaard, but one player who stood out for me whose game has gone to another level is Declan Rice, they have a serious player in there with Declan Rice, who could take them across the line,” Morrison said.

Remains to be seen

While we love the idea of Rice being the man to lead Arsenal to glory, we can’t say with any confidence that he will be able to do just that.

Yes, Rice is a fantastic player, but let’s not forget, he’s never played at this sort of level before, and he’s never been involved in the business end of a title race.

Yes, he’s played big games for England and West Ham, but that constant pressure that builds for months and months is unlike anything he will have ever experienced.

Top players thrive in these circumstances, and Rice will have his chance to prove he has what it takes to be considered a player of that level.
