Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack helped his side to a comfortable 4-0 win over St Mirren, despite being rested from the start.
The Gers were awarded four penalties – three of which were converted – on their way to a victory which narrowed the gap at the top.
James Tavernier scored two of the penalties, Jermain Defoe netted the third and then Ryan Kent gave Rangers their first goal from open play towards the end.
It was a relatively comfortable afternoon for Rangers with Jack ensuring things were ticking over in midfield.
The 26-year-old is enjoying a successful season under Steven Gerrard, endearing himself to the fans with the winning goal against Celtic.

And he has been consistent in his performances in central midfield, doing both his defensive and attacking duties neatly.
The twice-capped Scotland international was impressive again yesterday when he came off the bench and Rangers fans acknowledged his performance on social media.
