3. Leonardo Ulloa (Leicester City)

Eyebrows were raised amongst Swans fans when news broke out that they’d been linked with the Premier League winner. At 29-years of age, he has proven himself as a capable goalscorer during his two years with the Foxes, including two goals against the Swans in Leicester ‘ s comprehensive 4-0 victory at the Liberty Stadium on their way to the 2015-16 title.

Claudio Ranieri ‘ s hesitancy to rotate his side and use Ulloa due to the form of Shinji Okazaki (bar when forced into alterations through suspensions), meant the Argentine ‘ s first team opportunities were limited last season. In spite of putting in a shift and scoring vital goals when called upon, he may find the going at the King Power Stadium even tougher next season given the arrival of Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow, rendering a move away from the East Midlands even more likely.

A chance of regular first team football may tempt the striker to South Wales if the Swans were to make a formal enquiry,  and he would be available for a fee in the region of £10m.

His six goals last season may seem a disappointing tally in the side that went on to miraculously claim the Premier League title, but in the season prior (2014-15) with far more regular appearances, the Argentine notched 13 goals in a side that struggled for the majority of the season before a great escape under Nigel Pearson  in the latter stages of the campaign. He also enjoyed a prolific season in the Championship with Brighton and Hove Albion as they reached the playoffs in 2013-14, and was a potent goalscorer during his time in La Liga with Andalusian club Almeria.

Even if he were to struggle for goals, the support of Ayew and Sigurdsson as an alternative source of goals would relieve pressure from the forward, and for what he lacks in pace, he makes up for in his hold up play,  making him another ideal option as a spearhead striker. His height would make him an ideal target man for wingers if Guidolin opts to play on the break, and he would provide a much needed physical presence in set – piece situations.

Overall he is a consistent, experienced and reliable option to add to the forward line, and would be available for a price that financially would render him a real bargain.
