Recently contract talks with the Portuguese winger have broken down – this has created doubt over his future at Manchester United. The 25-year-old has confessed he is considering leaving the Premier League club.
It’ll be a huge blow for United to see the future of a payer who also claimed he is alongside fellow international Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the best in the world thrown in doubt.
Nani’s statistics, particularly for United, prove that he is one of the Premier League’s top midfielders. But I not sure this form can compare with other wingers around Europe and the rest of the world. Last season he scored 15 goals in 43 matches for club and country.
Nani would be a loss for Ferguson’s side, however his recent performances towards the end of the season weren’t particularly mind-blowing. Regardless, if he were to leave this summer, expect a big transfer from a top European club. Mourinho has always been a fan of his fellow countryman, I wouldn’t rule out an offer from the Spain’s top club.
Surely this cannot harm United? With Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia remaining at the club, the team wouldn’t be short of players in his position, plus the money made could easily be invested in bringing new players to Old Trafford.
Please comment with your thoughts and opinions. Should Nani leave OT this summer? would United be stupid to let him go?
