Liverpool are interested in Bordeaux’s flying forward Francois Kamano, according to a report by the Sun.
The Reds are still yet to make a senior signing of note this summer but the report states that Juregn Klopp is interested in the Guinea international to offer cover for his frontline.
Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have all been involved in international competition this summer and that could mean they lack a little bit of sharpness.
That said, Kamano also played in the African Cup of Nations, alongside Reds midfielder Naby Keita – another who may well feel the impact of his summer exploits when the season kicks off.

So could Keita convince his international team-mate to join him at Anfield? Even despite Keita’s stuttering first campaign at Anfield, he’s unlikely to have too many bad things to say about a maiden campaign which made him a Champions League winner.
Keita could well be Liverpool’s trump card in the chase – but it’s important to point out that the source of the report will instantly make many Reds fans question its credibility.
And Klopp has preached the importance of long-term planning, so it would be a shock to see him make a late swoop, for a player whose ability to ease concerns over the forward line’s freshness will be hampered by coming in with just days until the season and his own summer tournament performances.
