Everton are facing a battle to keep hold of Idrissa Gana Gueye today. As reported by the Daily Mail, the Senegalese midfielder wants to make a move to French giants PSG. However, Everton do not want to sell him and value the 29-year-old at £35 million, a fee PSG are not willing to spend.
Everton are not only trying to keep hold of one Senegalese international but are also trying to bring one in.
As reported by WIW Sports earlier this week, Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr is wanted by the Toffees. A transfer in January would now seem to be a stretch, with time running out. But the speedster would be a brilliant Goodison Park recruit going forward.

But could losing Gueye damage their chances?
Moving abroad to start a new footballing experience would be a tough call for the 20-year-old. Everton, however, have a unique selling point in the presence of Gueye.
The pair played together at the World Cup in the summer. The Everton star has more caps than anyone in the current Senegal set-up and is his nation’s vice-captain. Having him at Everton would undoubtedly help the club in their pursuit of Sarr’s signature.
The winger was recently valued at £26 million by Le Quotidien and would be a fantastic recruit on the flanks for Everton. But if Gueye goes, they surely lose a major transfer advantage.
