Tottenham have been getting rid of some of their longest-serving players in recent times.
Harry Kane left in the summer after a decade of good service with Spurs, while Hugo Lloris has already gone in January.
Now, Eric Dier is being linked with a move to Bayern Munich, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are ready to sell the ‘strong’ defender once they have signed a replacement.

Spurs ready to sell Dier once replacement arrives
Romano shared what he knows about Dier.
“Many clubs are busy around Europe, it’s important to mention Eric Dier today. He’s out of contract in the summer, but Tottenham are prepared to let him go in the January transfer window as soon as they sign a new centre-back, Dier could leave Tottenham now,” Romano said.
Difficult
Tottenham will be ready to sell Dier once a new centre-back comes in, but it’s not going to be easy to get a player in that position through the door.
The Radu Dragusin deal appears to be getting further and further away from Spurs now as Napoli look to steal a charge on that front, while Jean-Clair Todibo appears to be just too expensive.
Others such as Tosin Adarabioyo and Lloyd Kelly have been linked, but, as ever, Premier League clubs don’t want to lose their key players in January.
Dier is waiting to make his move away from Spurs with Bayern Munich keen, but it would appear that he may have to wait a little while to get the greenlight to make this move.
Of course, January is a long month, so there’s plenty of time for Spurs to get this signing in order to facilitate Dier’s move, but whether or not Bayern Munich move onto other targets in that time remains to be seen.
Spurs need to make a signing before Dier is allowed to leave the club.
