West Ham United may want to keep a close eye on what Paris Saint-Germain are doing.
According to The Sun, the French giants are currently in talks with Chelsea over their midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is not in the plans of Frank Lampard.
It was thought initially that Bakayoko would head to AC Milan where he spent the 2018/19 season on loan, but the Italians are thought not to want to pay the £32 million asking price.
PSG are negotiating at the moment, and it could well be the star ends up in Paris – and that could be encouraging news for West Ham regarding Idrissa Gueye.
Le10 Sport recently claimed the Hammers are in the mix to sign the 30-year-old Senegal international, and any move for Bakayoko would surely see Gueye become more attainable.
TBR’s View – West Ham must wait in the wings
It is claimed that PSG officials would like to sell Gueye this transfer window, and any arrival of Bakayoko would give them even more reason to offload the former Everton man.
If the deal completes soon, West Ham surely ought to test the waters over Gueye who would make a massive difference to David Moyes’ team.
The ex-Everton dynamo has bags of Premier League experience and is still the mobile and tenacious player English football fans remember him as.
