Everton are reportedly interested in Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and have been scouting the powerhouse.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the France international is valued at around £40million and the Toffees could face some competition from elite clubs for his signature.
The 21-year-old is a box-to-box central midfielder that has been impressing in Ligue 1 and he looks like he could be a top addition at a Premier League club
He ticks a lot of boxes for Everton given his athleticism and ability to perform at the highest level, but would their current player Idrissa Gueye be at risk if they signed Ndombele.
Gueye, 29, is a defensive midfielder that is a key part of Marco Silva’s XI and does the dirty work in front of the backline.
The pocket-sized midfielder is in some of his best ever form at Goodison Park and is a real force in the centre of the park.

There are a lot of similarities between Gueye and Ndombele, with both of them enforcers that like to dominate the midfield battle.
It looks like they would be competing against each other if they were both on Merseyside, but alternatively manager Silva could adopt a formation with a three-man midfield to accommodate them.
Ndombele is certainly a high-profile talent that would be a top signing, as he is strong in possession as well as adding a major goal threat.
His potential arrival should not concern Gueye and in fact the duo could form one of the fiercest midfields around.
