Could Celtic attacker Lewis Morgan get rare chance v RB Leipzig?

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will be forced into a change on Thursday against RB Leipzig, as usual mainstay James Forrest is suspended for the Europa League group stage match.

The pivotal right-winger will be a notable absence from the European tie after a red card Red Bull Salzburg and his spot is a huge void to fill for one of his teammates.

There are a number of Bhoys players that could slot in to replace him, but will Rodgers throw a curveball by handing youngster Lewis Morgan a huge chance?

Morgan has made just six first-team appearances across all competitions this campaign and been a fringe player at Parkhead.

The 22-year-old also usually prefers to operate from the left and is yet to chalk up his first goal or assist, but he could be a selection out of the blue against German opposition Leipzig.

Morgan is a fleet-footed attacker that can dazzle full-backs with his speed and trickery, something that could be vital on the counter attack against a dangerous Leipzig.

The Scotsman should be feeling completely fresh due to his limited game-time so far this season and has every point to prove to his manager if he does feature.
