When Boli Bolingoli left Celtic on loan last September, it appeared to be a very safe bet to assume that he had already made his final appearance for the Hoops.
In truth, it remains incredibly difficult to imagine the left-back playing for Celtic again.
As noted by Sky Sports, he had infuriated the club by breaching the rules and leaving the country, not telling anyone of his trip, and then playing when he should have been in quarantine.

Bolingoli is not the reason Celtic have missed out on their 10th league title in a row. But the incident played its part in setting the wheels in motion on what has been a chaotic season at Parkhead.
His loan to Istanbul Basaksehir looked to make the best out of a very bad situation.
But as this season edges towards its conclusion, perhaps there is the smallest chance that Celtic may be relieved that they only loaned him out.
The 25-year-old has spent much of his time in Turkey out injured. So he is not exactly leaving his parent club kicking themselves – even with the problems they have endured.

But the Hoops are set to look drastically different next term. Neil Lennon has departed. Peter Lawwell is going.
Could new manager offer Bolingoli fresh start?
That would not leave Bolingoli with a completely clean slate, by any means. But the new manager is surely going to want to consider every single player available to him before writing anyone off.
That may just open the door for Bolingoli ever so slightly.
It would currently be a surprise if the Hoops decided to make Diego Laxalt’s move permanent. So there may be a void to fill at left-back along with Greg Taylor.
Bolingoli returning would not sit well with many. And realistically, it is hard to see Celtic rejecting any bids that see the club make most of the £3 million they spent on him back.
But with big changes on the horizon, perhaps Bolingoli coming back into the fold cannot be completely ruled out just yet.
