‘Could be his season’: Ossie Ardiles makes excited about £27m Tottenham player

Ossie Ardiles has excitedly claimed on Twitter that Giovani Lo Celso could have a real breakout season at Tottenham this year.

Lo Celso has spent two years in north London as a Spurs player, but is yet to really put his name up in lights as a key figure.

The box-to-box midfielder has seven goals in 65 appearances for Spurs. Also, he’s got four assists.

Spurs legend Ardiles is backing his fellow countryman to shine. Argentina international Lo Celso should be in great spirits going into the new season because he won Copa America during the summer by playing in the 1-0 victory over rivals Brazil in the final.

Can Lo Celso live up to potential?

It’s obvious Lo Celso offers Spurs something different.

The left-footed playmaker can create in the final third with his vision and dribbling. In addition, he’s got an aggressiveness and steel about his game out of possession.

The £27million man should be hoping that he can nail down a regular starting position under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, so he needs to make a good first impression.

Aged 25, there is time for Lo Celso to unlock his full potential in a Spurs shirt. He may be an individual that can go under the radar in the Premier League this season to become a star performer.
