'Could be a problem': Ian Wright has big warning for Liverpool about Tottenham this season
It has been mooted that Liverpool and Manchester City could win every single Premier League game to the end of the season.
It is hard to see who will beat either side, and their title run-in during the 2018/19 season was so high on consistency and quality.
Ian Wright has spotted a potential banana skin on the Reds’ route to glory, in the shape of Arsenal’s bitter rivals Tottenham.
Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, he said: “You look at the Liverpool fixtures and maybe you could see a top Tottenham.
“If it’s the great Tottenham we’ve seen turn up, it could be a problem.
“But other than that…” he finished, implying that you would expect Liverpool to win every other game, including the forthcoming Merseyside derby on Sunday.
The way Liverpool are playing, they would expect to beat anyone, but Spurs did get a 2-2 draw from the Reds in their first meeting since Antonio Conte took over.
They showed their quality on the break and their ability to raise their game against the very best sides.
Spurs also beat Manchester City on their own patch, with Harry Kane putting in a masterclass in front of Pep Guardiola, so they are not to be taken lightly.
