Tottenham are in a race with clubs across Europe for Juventus winger Douglas Costa, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport.
They report that the Brazilian flier could be allowed to leave Turin this summer, which has put Manchester City, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan all on red alert.
And Tottenham reportedly remain in that chase as well, looking to kick on into a new era in their shiny new stadium and build a squad that is capable of challenging for trophies.
Part of that will be creating more variety and depth. At present, Erik Lamela is probably Tottenham’s first change, but having Costa around would take those attacking options to another level.

According to Metro, Costa cost £34.1m when he joined Juve from Bayern Munich last summer, and it remains to be seen how his recent injury problems impact the asking price.
But Tottenham are now at the point where they need to boost a squad that has struggled badly to maintain its levels all the way through the season and an experienced campaigner like Costa, who has done it in the Champions League, would be a real boost.
With Costa, his countryman Lucas and Son Heung-min, Spurs would have an array of flying wingers in support of Harry Kane and Lamela’s role could become marginalised – but there’s plenty of competition for his signature first.
