West Ham vice-chairman, Karren Brady, has caused quite the stir this morning with her claims the Premier League should be declared null and void.

The Hammers supremo made the comments (the Sun) in light of the recent Premier League suspension due to the global pandemic.

Brady claims that the seasons should be voided if teams cannot complete their fixtures. This, of course, would have a massive impact on clubs at the top and bottom of the table.

Furthermore, it would likely mean Liverpool missing out on a first Premier League title and the likes of Norwich and Aston Villa remaining in the league.

For West Ham, it would be a bonus too. The Hammers are struggling down near the foot of the table with relegation a very serious threat.

It goes without saying, then, that a host of football fans have picked up on this.

Twitter was awash with replies and comments to Brady’s thoughts. And while some agreed with her idea, there were more than a few fans out there who disagreed.

Here’s a look at just a few of the comments in response to Karren Brady’s calls for void Premier League season.

Another opinion in a world of many – TBR View

The comments above are some of the nicer ones in response to Brady’s stance. Yes, it might be a controversial opinion but it is just that, an opinion and one she is entitled to have.

There’s little point in the footballing world going into meltdown over Brady’s thoughts. Of course, it’s easy to point out that West Ham are in trouble.

But then again, why wouldn’t you do your best to protect the interests of your own club? Brady is simply doing what she can in a difficult moment.

If the season does get voided and the Hammers stay up, there won’t be many West Ham supporters complaining!
