It seems that Christian Eriksen is on his way to Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy. The Danish international’s future at Tottenham has been in the news for months, as his contract with the club expires at the end of the season.
Rather than lose him for nothing, it appears Tottenham have agreed to sell him to Inter before the end of the month.
It is reported by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter that the agreement is valued at €20 million (£16.8m). The Nerazzurri will pay an initial €15 million (£12.6m) up front, with an added €5 million (£4.2m)in bonuses.
FC Inter News has now reported that Eriksen will sign a deal until 2024 after a conference call was held between Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots and Inter director of sport Piero Ausilio. Eriksen is set to be unveiled at the Serie A side’s weekend clash against Cagliari.

That has since been contradicted by Gazzetta dello Sport. They suggest contact was made today, but no agreement has yet been found. The two clubs will talk again tomorrow and a deal is seemingly edging closer.
TBR’s View
Tottenham will no doubt want to get this deal done soon. Eriksen’s contract situation has been a major distraction at the club and the Dane’s performances have reflected the indecision.
Spurs will also want to make some money off of Eriksen, rather than losing him for nothing at the end of the season.
Whilst it seems there is still a few details to iron out, Tottenham and Inter do appear to be closing in on an agreement to get this deal done.
