Arsenal academy midfielder Ben Sheaf continues to shine away from the Emirates Stadium on loan this season.

The Gunners youngster, who has made two senior appearances for the North Londoners, sealed a switch to Coventry back in September.

To date, Sheaf has made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Championship side, including eight league starts and 90 minutes in the last seven league games.

The 22-year-old put in a superb display last week to help Coventry to a 3-2 win over early league frontrunners Reading, winning the Sky Sports Man of the Match award.

The Coventry Telegraph gave him a 7 out of 10, writing: “Sat deep trying to break up Reading’s midfield flow, getting his foot in and passing the ball well.”

Sheaf was back in action on Wednesday night away at Nottingham Forest and, though his side lost, he was still hailed for his display.

“Constantly tried to get a foot in to break up Forest’s flow and help shield the back three, and help keep things ticking in midfield as he continues to impress and grow into the role,” wrote the Coventry Telegraph, giving him another 7 out of 10.
