Continual snubs and Abraham linked, time for Bonatini to worry

According to The Sun, Wolverhampton Wanderers are to put an £18 million offer to Chelsea for striker Tammy Abraham.

The young Englishman has been on loan at Aston Villa in 2018/19 and has scored 16 goals in 20 appearances for the Championship club.

Abraham is being targeted by Wolves, who have relied heavily on loan star Raul Jimenez this term.

The Mexican has had a fine campaign to his credit, but surely needs more support.

Wolves getting Abraham would be a great piece of business, but it’d potentially spell the beginning of the end for a forgotten man.

Bonatini struggles set to continue

Leo Bonatini signed a permanent deal with Wolves last summer, after a successful loan spell in 2017/18.

The Brazilian scored 12 goals for the club in 47 appearances, and fans were intrigued about how he’d fare in the Premier League.

Disappointingly he’s made just nine appearances so far this term. He’s started twice in the Carabao Cup and made seven substitute appearances in the league.

Frustratingly for the player, he has been continually overlooked in favour of wingers Diogo Jota and Adama Traore.

Sometimes Nuno Espirito Santo has elected to use one of those wingers to support Jimenez instead of him, a natural centre forward.

If Wolves can get the deal for Abraham over the line, then it’ll be very difficult to see how Bonatini will get regular game time.
