Antonio Conte has described himself as very lucky to have a player such as Harry Kane available to him, and backed the Tottenham Hotspur star to become the best striker in the world – in comments reported by Football London.
Kane appears to have found another gear since Conte came to Tottenham. He has scored 13 times since the Italian’s appointment, including five in his last four Premier League games.

In fact, he is arguably playing almost as well as he ever has right now. Kane and Son Heung-min are now the most prolific partnership in Premier League history. And the Englishman passed Thierry Henry in the all-time Premier League goalscoring list on Monday night.
The appointment of Conte appears to have been a turning point in Kane’s season – even if he had already been playing a lot better than many would have given him credit for.

But the Italian clearly feels that he is the fortunate one as he was asked for the reasons behind Kane’s improvement.
“We are talking a world-class striker. I am very lucky to have a player like him, to work with him, because I always said we are talking about a fantastic player, but at the same time he is a fantastic person,” he said, as reported by Football London.
“He is always available to work, work hard, give example to the other players. He shows me every day the will, desire to improve himself, to try to become stronger, stronger, stronger. I think he can become the best striker in the world.”
Tottenham will be fantastic position should they keep both Conte and Kane next season
It is looking set to be a massive few months for Tottenham. Certainly, keeping Conte and Kane beyond this season could leave Spurs in a fantastic position heading into next season.
Of course, supporters will be wary of getting carried away off the back of their win over Everton on Monday. Tottenham, remarkably, are still yet to win two games in a row this year.
But it does appear that they are moving in the right direction. And that progress will be a lot quicker the longer Conte and Kane spend at the club.
It looks imperative that Tottenham secure that top-four spot this season. Should they do so, it could open the door for a really exciting period for the side.
